October 23, 2026: a bigger field, real players and Full game mode
- Full game mode. Call your team's drive late in a real NFL game, then call the defense when the other team gets the ball back. Both drives are real ones from the same game. Your first drive decides how the second one starts: after a score it starts from the kickoff, after a turnover from the spot where the ball changed hands, with whatever time you left on the clock. Win, lose or go to overtime. The daily drive is unchanged.
- The game fills the screen. The scoreboard runs across the top, the field takes the left side and the calls sit on the right. The field is now vertical, with your offense driving up the screen. On a phone it's scoreboard, then field, then calls.
- The real 22 players on the field. Each drive shows the players who were on the field for the real drive's first snap, with their numbers and names, lined up in the formation they used. For 2023 to 2025 drives this comes from nflverse participation data. For 2026 drives, which have no participation data yet, it's the game-day depth chart. The players move with the ball.
- A quick tour. The first time you play, a five-step tour points out the scoreboard, the field, the calls and the grades. How to play above the scoreboard replays it any time.
- The clock follows NFL Rule 4-3-2. In the last five minutes of the game, a play that ends out of bounds stops the clock until the next snap, before the two-minute warning as well as after it.
- A tidier homepage. The game comes first. How to play, the grades and the FAQ sit in an "About the game" section below it.
October 22, 2026: daily stats and a better end screen
- Daily stats. How many people played each daily drive, their average Drill Score and how many scored, on offense and on defense.
- End screen. A countdown to the next daily drive, your streak, Copy result, and a link to keep playing in Practice.
- Weekly drive pages. Each complete NFL week of 2026 gets its own page of late-game drives once the week is over.
October 17, 2026: Survivor and the real coach
- Survivor. Real drives back to back, on offense, defense or both in turn. Three bad calls and the run is over.
- Which head coach you call like. The end screen names the NFL head coach whose late-drive mix of runs and passes matches yours.
- The real coach's grade. Each past daily drive page grades the real coach's calls the same way the game grades yours.
